Getting to the Sunshine Coast

The Sunshine Coast in Queensland starting at Caloundra the southern end is approximately 100 km north of the Brisbane CBD or the Brisbane airport and ending at Noosa, the top end of the Sunshine Coast which is approximately 160 km north of Brisbane.

Driving to the Sunshine Coast

If you are driving from Brisbane CBD or from the Brisbane Airport you take the Bruce Highway and head north.  Approximately one hours drive will get you to the first signed exit to Caloundra, the southern end of the Sunshine Coast. All coastal towns on the Sunshine Coast can be reached via the Bruce Highway up to Noosa, at the northern end of the Sunshine Coast is about a ninety minute drive.

Getting to the Sunshine Coast by Rail

Queensland Rail offers services with rail bus links from Brisbane Central and Roma Street stations. These can be purchased as one ticket through Queensland Rail. Train times and ticket prices can be found on the internet by searching  the Queensland Trans info journey planner. Simply type in your departure location and your destination on the Sunshine Coast and the planner will assist you on the best way to arrive at your accommodation.

Flying to the Sunshine Coast

If flying to the Sunshine Coast, to either Brisbane or the Sunshine Coast airports, there are excellent bus transfer services available or Hire Cars. The bus transfer companies greet most flights and offer door to door transfers to your accommodation. These services can be pre booked with us. Car hire companies are based at both airports. Taxi & limousine services are also available. These can be more expensive due to the distance to be travelled to get to your destination.

There are three major airline companies that fly to Noosa. These are Virgin Blue, Jetstar and Tiger Airways.

The Sunshine Coast Airport is situated in Marcoola just north of Maroochydore, which is in the centre of the Sunshine Coast.

Getting to the Sunshine Coast by Bus
